The school is organized by the Department of Mathematics, IIT Palakkad, in collaboration with the National Centre for Mathematics (NCM). The programme aims to bring together students, researchers, and experts for an intensive series of lectures and tutorials on important themes in Commutative Algebra and Algebraic Geometry.

The aim of this AIS is to introduce participants to powerful tools at the interface of Commutative Algebra and Algebraic Geometry. This school will emphasize how geometric ideas, such as schemes, coherent sheaves, and cohomology, together with homological methods in Commutative Algebra, lead to fundamental results in Commutative Algebra.
